Overview: Play as a samurai
20260622:
Completed the demo (defeated Ganryu).
Setup: Action difficulty. Azeron and mouse.
Steam Game Time: 52 minutes*
*The game loads shader, then asks a bunch of questions and setup before finally getting into the game. I was wondering. Why not ask the questions and do the setup while loading the shaders?
First Impressions:
Switching it up, I decided to play this action demo. The graphics are nice, and the fighting is decent. Most of the moves are standard (parry, dodge, etc.). While playing, I couldn't help but feel something off with the movement or graphics. Worded differently, I think the game isn't pushing the limit of what good games look or feel like. In particular, I think of the following games: Tomb Raider, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order. To be fair though, this game is still just a demo and three months to go until release.
Combat aside, some of the navigation was difficult. I had to open the map to figure out where I should go and that takes away from the game immersion.
Demo Rating: 3.8 out of 5
The Steam store page does not have an AI Generated Content Disclosure section! (implying the developer(s) did not use AI to generate content for the game)
