Valor Mortis (PC) (Demo)

Overview: A souls-like where you play as a soldier, there are zombies, and the plot has something to do with Napolean (I've yet to learn what exactly)

First Impressions:
Basic gameplay mirrors other action games (e.g., block, parry), but I got to a point where the player also has a fire spell of some kind that uses a "mana" bar.

The theme was good and the graphics were good. I'm learning I seem not to be good at this kind of game and so my enjoyment level is lower than other genres, e.g., puzzle games. I could imagine learning to be better at such games: once one learns the timing and cadence of attack and block (and perhaps knowing when to heal inside or outside of battle), then this would generally be applicable across all games. However, I don't think I'm interested in learning the genre as a whole.
