Minesweeper: Next-Gen (PC) (Demo)

Overview: Minesweeper with a twist
20260621:
Gameplay Log:
Completed 5 levels on chapter 1 (6-10 are locked)
Completed 5 levels on chapter 2 (6-10 are locked)
Completed 3 levels on chapter 3; ragequit after losing the 4th level on accidental misclick: left clicked (reveal tile) instead of right click (mark bomb)

Steam Game Time: 28 minutes
First Impressions:
The variation in background tiles instead of the traditional squares minesweeper is refreshing. There was one game where symbols substituted in for numbers and that was neat as well. The look and feel of the game is also a welcome improvement over the old gray Windows minesweeper. However, the overall game is still just minesweeper, so the novelty is limited.

Note: adjacency means touching by at least a vertex.

Across games that I played, using logic meant there was a solution and guessing was not needed. It seems the game ensures this. The developers write this on the Steam store page: "No need to worry—throughout the game, advanced procedural generation ensures that every level is solvable without guessing. If you get stuck, don’t blame the developer just yet—take another look. There might still be information you haven’t fully used."
Demo Rating: 4.0 out of 5

The Steam store page does not have an AI Generated Content Disclosure section! (implying the developer(s) did not use AI to generate content for the game)
