Invisible Ascent (PC) (Demo)

Overview: Platformer with invisible platforms.
20260619:
Setup: Initially tried Azeron but there was some where joystick drift, so I switched to keyboard.
Steam Game Time: 12 minutes
First Impressions:
The main mechanic of invisible platforms, while cool sounding, was not fun. The game's Steam description is that it's a "rage-inducing memory platformer where the path disappears before you jump." It was not that type of game. I was upset with my experience, but not because it was a difficult game. Instead, the controls just felt terrible. Players have to hold down the jump button to get longer jumps, but the type to charge just felt too long. Then there's one place in the game where the developer calls for a wall jump. However, the ability to execute a wall jump is poorly coded and so that was rage-inducing, but not in a good way.
