Today I played a little bit of The Howler and only briefly tried to play using my microphone. Trying it out for one of the levels, I quickly reverted to my laptop's touchpad and eventually I was bored of the game as a whole.
Thoughts:
Pro:
+ Great artwork! Hand-drawn.
Neutral:
~ Alternate control scheme (sustain the balloon's flight using sound - requires a microphone)
Cons:
- Too slow and boring.
- Quite difficult
Recommendation:
Although the game has great artwork, the game's slow pace was a turn-off. Maybe it would have been more interesting if I made the effort to play using my microphone.
