LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga (PC) (2009)

Reason for Playing: I wanted to try playing a game with my son.
Remark: I've previously played LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy on the Nintendo GameCube.
20220904:
Today I tried playing this game with my son.

Setup: I connected a wired controller to a USB-C dock and connected the dock to my Steam Deck.

I definitely underestimated the dexterity required to simply move a character around with either the analog or the digital pad. The analog is easier to move around, but its position on the controller is further in. While this distance is manageable for someone older, it is much harder for a three year old to reach. With that being said, he could generally switch to a direction when prompted (e.g., up, down, left, right), but that's really not practical when it comes to a play session.

Steam Game Time: 21 minutes (total game time)
20250525:
We played the first three chapters of Episode 1 and started the third chapter. However, in this level I was beginning to feel exhausted since I had trouble getting Ben to cooperate to proceed.

Note that with the podracing level, I didn't know that we can press forward to go faster. This was key to completing the level.

As I mentioned, I previously played LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Star Wars II. I don't remember the camera being such a problem. Perhaps this is not the case when playing with another adult. While I don't want to form a premature rating, at the moment I'm leaning towards a 3.0. I'll have to play more to come to a conclusion.

Setup: I played on keyboard and Ben played with a Logitech Dual Action controller.

Steam Game Time: 98 minutes (total game time)
