Overview: An RPG "set in the Forgotten Realms Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting."

Today I started up the game. The character creation took a lot of reading. After completing it, I began going through the tutorial. However, I wasn't completely satisfied with playing the game on the Steam Deck.

Today I restarted the game. The character creation likely went by quicker, but I was sleepy and so the tutorial definitely took longer than it needed to. I stopped playing after completing the tutorial.
While I've only played through the tutorial, I would say that all the keyboard shortcuts to the various interfaces is very useful, and makes playing with keyboard and mouse likely the superior choice for me.

Note: there are tutors in the initial area that cover information in the tutorial via text. This has its pros and cons. Advantages of the tutorial are that it ensures the player doesn't miss out on key mechanics and has the player actually execute the mechanics. Advantages of the tutors are they are part of the main game and the player is likely to run into them while playing the initial area and talk to them anyways, thereby saving time and getting a more streamline experience.
I finished all the quests in the hometown.
Imoen joins party.
Travel to Friendly Inn area.
Steam Game Time: 5.1 hours (cumulative game time) / 1.9 hours (session game time)
Thoughts:
Pros:
+ Promising story
+ Keyboard shortcuts, and mostly intuitive or standard
Neutral:
~ Dungeons and dragons experience in video game form (e.g., character stats, THAC0, armor class)
~ Older graphics
Cons:
- Slow screen scrolling. I don't mind the characters walking slowly, but I want to be able to move the screen around faster.
