I was sorting through games installed on my laptop and saw Coil. I noticed I already played it, and vaguely recall what it was about. Seeing as it was probably a short experience, I decided to play it again to make a post about it.

After completing the game, I recalled it was probably part of The Basement Collection. It was and I had played it there as well.
Note: as stated in the "About this game" section on the game's Steam page, Coil only depends on mouse movement, no clicking or keyboard presses are used.

Overall, I found the experience engaging. Though the story is open-ended so in that way it achieves an art status similar to a painting. That is, it evokes an emotional response and thought. The artist may have intended a message, but such a message is not necessarily spelled out for the player (or in case of a painting, the viewer).

Steam Game Time: 10 minutes (session) / 46 minutes (total)
