Overview: Dash or push enemies
20250301:
Setup: Controller
Steam Game Time: 8 minutes (session) + 4 minutes (grab screenshot)
First Impressions:
The base mechanic of pushing and slicing is neat but also I perceived too much of a learning curve to be willing to try and master it. The game appears to benefit from players who can navigate 2D space efficiently. As a more casual player, I feel like the game lacked a hook. It did grab me with the feeling of the excitement of doing well or that there exists a challenge to overcome. It was simply hard. I feel like some kind of "autoaim" would have been beneficial here - something that would have lowered the bar just a bit.
With that being said, I'm rather sleepy (and was nodding off a few times while opening up the game to grab a screenshot) so the above assessment might not be fair.
Demo Rating: 1.8 out of 5
